So you think you can dance . . . Ethiopia Round 3, Day 18

An exciting day at the guest house!  The guest house was approached about being part of a movie set.  So . . . we had Ethiopian movie stars hanging out in the courtyard.  Cool!  We didn't recognize them, but "M^" sure did.  We sat on the balconies and played paparazzi!

Unfortunately there was still know power at the guest house so they couldn't shot the scenes there.  Bummer!  It was still fun though!

Julie . . . this one is for you!  We see so many feral cats and dogs.  We were amazed at this particular dimmit (Amharic for cat)!  It was carefully walking through the middle of the razor wire on the wall.  Brave dimmit!

That afternoon we had another doctor appointment for "M^".  More tests.  Poor kiddo!  It was a bit of a rough day!   She was very brave and got through it just fine though.

That evening we went out to dinner at Yod Abyssinia.  We have been there several time, but tonight was definitely the best!  The food was great!  It was buffet night.

There was plenty of ingera and any kind of wat (stew) you could think of.

"M^" was one happy Ethiopian young lady!!!  She had a plate filled with all the various dishes!  She even asked for some more kitfo (raw meat with spices and butter)!  I hope she enjoys as much Ethiopian food here before we head home!

Yod Abyssinia has a great dance and music program that they put on.  Very entertaining.  They perform music and dances for various area of Ethiopia.

We ordered some tej (traditional honey wine).  Good stuff!

Then the dancing at our table began.   The performers came around and were encouraging the the guests to dance with them.  Here's Kevin trying his best at the shoulder moves they use in most of their dances.

Kevin was quickly shown up by Buggado and Nati!  They have those moves down! When they weren't eating dinner or drinking their tej they were dancing!  I haven't laughed that hard in a long long time!  My face hurt from laughing with them!  It was an extremely fun evening with good friends!
