Go Bananas! Go, Go Bananas! . . . Ethiopia Round 3, Day 25

Wow, it's day 25!!!  This morning I woke up early.  Kevin and "M^" were able to sleep in.  I checked email and facebook. However, it also gives me time to think.  And as I'm thinking lately I'm missing my other little girls!!!  Wow, what I would give to hug them tonight!!!  "M*", "S", "K", and "T" . . . Mommy and Daddy miss you so very very very much!

Today was another lazy day at the guest house.  We played games, watched TV and did some school work with "M^".

This afternoon we saw our in country representative.  He submitted our paperwork to the embassy.  However, we found out that they didn't accept the copy of our visa.  So . . . pictures of our visas had to be submitted via email.  Hopefully that is all taken care of now!  If so we should have our visa embassy interview early next week!

This evening we headed out to dinner at Lucy's Restaurant.  Very very good!  

After that was a trip to the grocery store.  We're on a mission! 

VICTORY!!!!  Two different grocery stores . . . but, we have the supplies!

Banana splits for our Ethiopian friends! 

We had another wonderful day with our daughter and our friends here in Ethiopia!  We are blessed!

On another note . . . something I feel compelled to write . . .

8 truths that have been confirmed for us from our observations, interactions and experiences today (Unfortunately, we feel it best not to elaborate any more than this.  However, prayers are more than welcome!)  . . .

1.  Handle all your business in a fair and respectful way.

2.  Make sure you have enough time to handle all your interactions with others with as much time and importance as they deserve. 

3.  Stand up for those who others are treating unfairly or without respect.

4.  All people are created equally.  One's occupation and socio-economic level does not make them any more or less important than anyone else.  

5.  Look at experiences and interactions through the eyes of others, not just your own. 

6.  Be honest, but also be kind . . . always be kind.

7.  Don't allow other's negative opinions and false words bring down the person that you know you are, and the honest and fair actions you take. 

8.  Love God, love others.

Don't worry everything is good!  Just some frustrating situations today!
